Guest Spot: An Invitation

As I mentioned last time, I’m not going to be able to update as often over the next five weeks or so as I get ready to make a major move.

So I am throwing open this space to you. I am inviting you to write a guest entry for Queer Scribbles. You can write about anything you’d like; maybe you’re a reader considering starting up your own online journal and want to get your feet wet. Maybe you want to respond to something I’ve written. Maybe you have an online journal but want to express something anonymously.

If you’re interested, submit your entries to me by email. Make sure to give your entries a title. Also, precisely specify how you want to be identified. You can choose to have your guest entry posted with complete anonymity, or maybe you would like me to also include your email address or URL. Just tell me what you want and I’ll do it. (I will not post contact information (name, email address, URL) without you explicitly requesting me to do so.)

If you want any jpegs or graphics featured in your entry, I’d prefer that you store them somewhere yourself and link to them in the entry you submit.

I will not edit what you submit to me, but of course I reserve the right to refuse to post your entry if I find it offensive in any way. Otherwise, friends, it’s open season.

And hey, a great collaborative topic I’ve thought of after reading Lust would be to imagine yourself with Michael’s fantasy-powers. If you could “call up” anyone for a sexual tryst and/or romance, who would it be and what would happen? So if that topic grabs ya, feel free to submit your entry to me and I’ll put it up here; or of course, post it in your own journal and let me know. If folks get into it, I’ll post a list of any collaborative entries. Just a thought.

I’m not going to have the time or energy to keep up with my site the way I would like to over the next while. I will certainly keep updating between now and the end of August, just not as often. So it just occurred to me that I might throw this cyberspace open to you.
